Start with the event, not the price

A cricket selection should identify a particular match or competition and the exact outcome being priced. A match winner is different from a tournament winner; a whole-match total is different from a single-innings total. The teams may be the same, yet the question being settled is different.

In cricket, the format matters. A limited-overs match has a scheduled innings length, but rain, a revised target or an abandoned match can change how a market is settled. Read the event label and settlement conditions before interpreting a number beside a team name.

Esports and virtual sports ask different questions

Esports results may be attached to a series, an individual map or a round. A best-of-three series can finish two maps to one, while a selection about map one has already been decided much earlier. A score displayed next to a match therefore needs its own unit: maps, rounds and final series results are not interchangeable.

Virtual sports are simulated events. Their short-looking fixture list should not be mistaken for a live cricket or football calendar. Each event still has an identifier, a start and a final result; a past simulated result gives no reliable prediction of the next one.

Check the selection before confirming

Before confirming a selection, compare the event, period and outcome with what you intended. Read the stake and the full settlement wording together. Set a spending limit independently of any potential return, and leave a selection alone if its rules are unclear.
